Wenatchee, Wa Day 3

Today we packed up and headed home. After unpacking and getting all the essentials ready for the work week it has been nice to reflect on the weekend. This road trip was just what I needed. It was an enjoyable and relaxing few days away from home.

So lately Ive been into really good coffee and tea's. When I get a extra $200.00 I'm gonna buy this tea pot. Its designer friendly and comes with great packaging. Also its like a french press for tea so the flavor is way more intense with each sip. You can check it out more at www.sorapot.com

Wenatchee, Wa Day 2

We found out that there was a semi pro hockey game in town so we headed down to check it out. So happens that Mike's (the guys house we are stay at) son does all the video, film, replay's for all the events. We got hooked up with free tickets that were sweet, good seats. After a few pints my dad was like I wanna buy you guys a shot, so we searched for the bar. Apparently the only bar is in the VIP box seats up stairs. Mike called his son, who in turn made a call. Five minutes later we are being escorted up to the VIP box seats for our shots and the rest of the game. Ended up being a great night.

Wenatchee, Wa Day 1

Woke up a little late due to catching up on some sleep from the long day before. It was a nice road trip and we still got there before noon which was nice. The last few holiday weekends we have headed to Wenatchee which is about 4 hours away. The place of our friends is beautiful, relaxing, and overall just a good weekend away. Lots of Jacuzzi time and scrabble.

Holiday Pay

So about twenty minutes after I posted "the countdown" they need me to work again..Its kinda hard saying no when your planning some trips and need some extra flow. I got off work at 530pm and then had to go back in at midnight that night. I worked till 830am the next morning but it didn't even seem like work. I got to watch the sun rise on the water and it was beautiful. It felt good putting some extra cash in the bank before are trip too.

Make Hay While The Sun Shines

Nothing special yet, all day in meetings and on a computer. Im not complaing though cause the weather took a turn for the worst and started pouring down rain from a blue bird day in a matter of minutes. One thing about the weather here, you will drive to work through the fog, walk to the office in the rain, be sunny by noon, windy and hailing by quitin time and raining before you go to bed. I guess its kinda a blessing to see all those weather conditions in one day but man is it a bitch when you get dressed for the day. Layers is the only thing I can say when it comes to that.

Loadin some music on my cuz's 120g ipod tonight, kicked it watched some old 007 movies. Its exciting how much the films have progressed but the older ones get a little boring after awhile. Im tryin to work on thursday because The Roz™ is workin till 5pm and I just found out that its Double Time & Half. Stackin that Chedda!

Hell Ride

Slept in and had the usual Sunday-

1. French Press
2. Took Sabra for a walk
3. Breakfast
4. Study
5. Meeting
6. Phoa Hoa soup (Amazing)
7. Nap
8. Hell Ride Movie by Quentin Tarantino a movie that I wouldn't recommend to many people, kinda raunchy and well bad, but I couldn't shut it off, kinda like Clockwork Orange, American Physco, Pulp Fiction. A raw biker movie Quentin and Larry Bishop style.

1. Lindstrom
2. Eluvium copia
3. Stitreza

All music is based in Europe, super good & super mellow

Workin on my day off

Got a call from my dad at 6am Friday morning on my day off. "Breakfast?" accidentally hung up on him. Called back "yea, when and where?" "Now, Bobs, Ferndale," click... Had some breakfast with the mom and pops at a mom and pop breakfast shop. Few cups of coffee later I ended up getting sucked into working at my buddy Brandon's house. We put a whole new sewer line in for his house, also demo on this old shop and made a big bon fire. Took a pic from the phone just to document it but it was all work and no play, worked hard all day and felt good about helping a buddy out. He's got a kid on the way and this is one less thing he needs to worry about. The city estimated doing this for 10k. We did it for little less than 2k not including the beer to keep you warm at 10am...

Something In The AIR

I'm not sure if its the music, the drinks, the season, or the up coming events. Today I've had non stop Déjà vu. It brings me back to last season at Big Bear, Ca. Started the season out OK, things were going good and then my buddy Dustin V and me went snowboarding together. It was a whole new perception on the season and outlook on life at that time. Then it spread like wild fire, my other buddy Dustin O then got even more stoked and it was just so much fun riding in the small crew. With Ming & Ping blaring in the Tacoma, Taco Bell, Rumplemintz, The Block™, Sleeping on hotel floors and late nights driving life was good and all about living in the moment for me. Late nights that I shouldn't have drove to gallery to hang out, stumbles back from the Shanty. Being will all my friends that had such a impact on my life, I cant really explain it. I hope when they read this they remember how fun life can be. I'm not sure what brought this on either, I think its something in the air. Everyone around is so serious with things goin on this world, it doesn't stress me out either, just makes me wanna chill even more; "Cali chill" as someone used to say...

007

Lucas & Sehome Theater gives 007's Quantum of Solace two thumbs up. 4.9 out of 5. It would have gotten 5 rating but I would agree with many people in that the intro could have been a little better. It was good don't get me wrong but I was just expecting a little more. Perhaps since it was different and more new age is what threw me off. Other than that the movie was incredible. Bond (Daniel Craig) is the best James Bond hands down! No comparison, he even knocks the Irishman off the stands on this. Hes cocky, bad ass, ladies man, tough as nails, and doesn't give a F, everything James Bond should be.

Another Day, Another Dollar

Another day another dollar... err so I thought. Got off work, picked up my truck, apparently my brakes needed to be replaced in the front on top of the tune up, $300.00 later.

Got all done up for a nice dinner and some drinks to forget about the flow I just dropped. Monday night at the Hearthfire Grille was just what I needed. Sorry there isn't more photo's but I was living in the moment and damn was it good.
Lobster, Steak, Rice w/cranberry's-doesn't sound that good but its A-mazing. Normally like 50.00 NOPE 17.95 week day special. SNAP it was good.

Going to go see 007 tomorrow, super hyped, super stoked, super excited. Daniel Craig is by far the best bond ever. Who ever thought Pierce would be good, should have been fired on the spot, possibly even shot..not decided on it yet. Stay tuned for my review. Anticipating a 4.8 out of 5 rating.

Vancouver, BC Day. 2

The wedding
It started at 9am which is unusual for a wedding but I was like sall good, super tired and kinda hung from the Gentleman's Jack from the night before. Got there and was so stoked. It was in a straight up indoor rain forest. The pics don't do it justice. Birds and wild plants all over the place. Small wedding(20 deep). Good Times

Intermission

Reception, was a dry wedding but you know we got wet...

Vancouver, BC Day. 1

After Dropping off the whip and doing the things that needed to be done we hit the road northward. I felt like the transporter driving in Canada, mobbin in and out of traffic, tight turns, and power slides. Straight up BC Drift™. On a Friday at rush hour we made it in 53 min. The thing was we weren't even in a hurry. The soundtrack that was made and stoked to see friends I think is what made did it.

Almost Time

What a day so far man! Fi real, been so busy I haven't even thought of anything but work, now that I'm home and haven't looked at my talk that I'm about to give in a hour doesn't give much time to think about anything else either...Almost though, after the talk and one more get up, its on. Brit and Josh will be here when I come home and it will be nice to catch up. On the player right now is some mellow chill steeze from cafe' del ma mix to keep me level headed and not get too excited over the small stuff. Fresh beats and mellow hooks, I highly suggest some listens if you have the time.

A Little Bit Of Heaven

Ok so the title of this blog is a little over the top, but seriously... When you wake up and its dark/cold/raining out and your vehicle isnt warmed up and you have a hot cup of french pressed coffee, nothing beats that first sip. Its like a shot of caffine directly into your system and gets you warm and aware for the day. This is going to be my choice beverage before riding each day this season.

Josh & Brit roll into town this wends and will be staying this us for a week. Looking forward to seeing them and catching up. Its so nice having friends come into town to visit.

Hopefully Big Bear will have some ish to slaughter when im there...

Latest and Greatest

So here it is, haven't had a chance to daily update this, much apologies. Its Monday, back to the grind and already looking forward to the weekend. Summery since last post

Ruined my jeans due to waxing...So stupid, the cold weather dried the bees wax to quickly (just as I thought it would) making it not soak into the denim and have that nice shiny coat. So I went over with a heat gun making it look better but still has been more than a week and smells like WHOA, Soaked it a little bit after drying to take the smell away (NOT A GOOD IDEA) wax started pealing off and flaking. Pretty much pissed me off and there still in a heap outside.

Sat-went out in service, napped, cleaned, upkeep on the house, took the little one for a walk-Dinner at a friends house, games Nothin to exciting just your daily random whatvers.

Sun-Meeting, Grocery Shopping, talked to a few friends on the phone for a few, catch up, stories, future plans

In my Future-wedding in Vancouver BC this Friday, also gonna hook up with Josh and Brit my wife's BFF. Haven't seen them since the wedding so it should be good times.

12/23-30/08

Boo Yah! Its official, I'm goin back to Cali to Cali! Dec 23th-30th I have off paid well actually to Jan 5th but I didn't wanna be gone that long, specially away from The Roz™. She couldn't get it off and she didn't want me to be home the hole time when she had to work during the holidays so she bought me a plane ticket. How sick is that! Seriously! My wife is the raddest chick I know, so down to earth and so fun and loving but most of all she takes care of me; which if she didn't I don't know who the hell would. So you all know who you are, Best show up to Big Bear and kick it, have a few pints, share some stories, catch up... etc. Its snowboarding that brings my friends together during winter even if we are all in dif states now.

Also to come is the Legendary Banked Slalom and all are welcome to crash at our pad or maybe get a cabin steeze if you can make it up Feb 7,8,9

Pa-Spect

*Disclaimer gets a bit deep

"Jumps done, the pig is fat, time to slaughter!"-t.rice

Last night my bro and his wife and the little grom came over for some pizza and beer and finally the anticipated full version "that's it, that's all". Now I think just seeing the sneaks and teasers and extended teasers just made me appreciate snowboarding and this film even more. I can't even explain how good the cinematography was in this film, completely on another level and now I think it will become the norm. Watching this film just made me so stoked on snowboarding, and how it really comes down to just having a good time and being with the people that influence you the most for the better. I remember when I was younger I was all about pushing it and trying to be better that I lost having fun with it. The past few seasons of riding with good friends and new people really broke me free from what I was used to, "riding with the crew" Even though its nice to ride with the same people, its all about having fun. Although there is those days when, "you don't have friends on powder days," but you always meet up at a break sessions to talk about the powder that has been slayed. To future powder days and enjoyment...

Wax Your Self

This weekend there was one thing on my mind. Get everything that I have had on my to do list, off! That's exactly what I did.
Mark it off:
-Sewing Kit
-Groceries
-Wax Denim
-Return Video Tapes
-Update Ipod
-French Press Tea Pot
-Best shampoo ever (essentielelements)
-Heat Gun

Swoop the photos from the Denim Project, Turned out just how I imagined.
A-Mazing!

After I waxed the denim, there was a lot of buildup on the seems. I spent about a hour going over everything with a heat gun and rubbing it in with a brush and fingaz. I will have to go back and do this step again once they are dry. (sketchy on weather, started pourin down when I was doing this, the condensation might have a effect on how the wax drys)

Northfork, Glaicer Washington

What a morning, I get a call about 730am from $, "I got a fresh cup of french pressed coffee, and the eggs are almost done, click" I dig the sleep out of my eyes, scurry on over across the street, stumble up the stairs (missed some goobers of sleep in my eyes), creep in as to not wake the baby and that's how it started. After the amazing breakfast burritos complementary of TK$ himself it was on. I stepped outside to the sun shining and it being colder than a witches tit. Then and there we decided to roll to the Northfork brewery/pizza joint/wedding chapel in Glacier, WA which for you who don't know, the best damn pizza joint after a hard days shred at baker.

-Went out in service (finished a full territory=empty bag=Best feeling ever)
-Got the essentials and hit the road
-Great Music
-Great People
-Good x's
