Well....just my luck, I got called in to work today...Its pouring down rain outside, so atleast im inside, listening to music and eating pop tarts(strawberry if you were wondering what kind). Should be a half day today as well so hopefully I can get the hell out of here and still enjoy whats rest of it.

Neither Here Nor There

I don't know what it is, but things that have been happening are not that cool lately, all I cant say is its neither here nor there, hence the title for this bad boy.

Reasons are as follows:
1. Legendary Banked Slalom is only having 15 spots open this year due to last years jacked up schedule (Saturday being closed due to avalanche issues and automatically bringing all of Fridays competitors back for this year)
2. Airline Prices are ridiculous even when you buy in advance, due to this I will not be flying down to CA for Xmas as in Malcom X or New Years cause it would be almost a G just to get there for me and The Roz™ not including all the other luxories that seem to follow ones self when going on vacation.

I'm really hoping I don't get called in tomorrow to work even though the flow would be nice, I would rather sleep in, spend money instead of make money and finally finish some things that I have been saying I am gonna do for ever. Also its irritating to keep transferring the same items to updated lists in Field Notes instead of crossin' em off.

On the Gind

Burnin the Candle at both ends?
Goin' twelve ways to Sunday.
Busier than a one-eyed cat watching nine rat holes.

Lets just say i've been busy with work, trying to sell my truck, trying to potty train my devil of a dog, I love the little Ewok but then again Ewoks are wild little creatures not to sure if im gonna see sucsess. Apparently I didnt know untill after we bought her, that these dogs are the worst to potty train, super ubber smart but at the same time a little bratty. I see light at the end of the tunnel but its a small light. In other news lookin forward to sleepin in and chillin this weekend. Feelin tons better and ready to get some projects done.

Good Ol' Days

I was looking through some old files and stumbled across some photos. Great memories....

Mini Ramp was the best thing ever

Half of the Oreo

Beer Goggles

Trestles with Shawn, Ya Brah a.k.a. Jackson, Wheeler, and Tascha

Random Night led us to some of the Reef girls surf team. You know if you were there.

DOO-ZEE©

Going Away Gift

Special Assembly Day

Got up around 6:45 and made sure I had my essentials for the journey into Canada and the pad was left safe.
-Passport
-Emergen-C
-Sword
-Field Notes
-Glasses
-Lunch-forgot and had to go out
-Wife
-Sabra is taken care of and has the staples

Good to go...Even though still sick I had some power from above that helped me make it through the day. Seriously I wanted to leave so many times but just kept takin notes and sooner than I thought I had a bag full of useful info and seriously felt 100% better. (Photo Taken when still sick, err atleast that's what im sayin, mean muggin I guess)

Emergen-C

So heres the scoop, Got off work on friday at noon instead of 2 cause I got hit like a freight train with the sickness. Yes it has been going around but why do I always have to get it. So instead of doing all the things I wanted to do I stayed in on the couch all day and watched movies, drinking Emergen-C every hour on the hour.

Also, picked up the piece of glass for the coffee table. Honestly not as cool as I thought, but does the trick; now I have more stuff to keep clean, but also another place to put a PBR. It is wha it tiz

Overtime

I got called in this morning for work to stack some more bread. I'm totally cool with it to cause The Roz™ got called in this morning as well so its chillin. I should be gettin off around 2 anyways so not to worried bout it.

I ordered a 48"X28"X3/8" bevelled bronze piece of glass for our coffee table bout 10 days ago which I'm super hyped on, cant wait to pick it up this afternoon and do a little Martha Stewart. Keep checking back for pics as well as my waxing project. I finally got all the items/products scrounged up in this small town for it, so should be done sometime this weekend.

Last night- Premiered That's it, That's all...nothing else needs to be said

SNOWING!

A recent photo taken from the birth of Baker. (I don't even know what that means, just kinda came to me) Anyways, its started, snow is coming. The only real dilemma I am having as of late is where to take a vacation. Tell me what you think, trying to get a posse together for a trip and Jackson Hole is looking pretty nice. If not might just have to do a solo with The Roz™ for our one year anniversary. I figure you will only have one first anniversary so go big or stay home.

Also, tonight is the Annual Mt. Baker Film Festival, will be hitting that up after work for some good entertainment and cheap beer.

Modest Mouse

This is seriously the best song to listen to in the winter months in my opinion. I cant get enough if it. The past few nights ive been listening to it with the windows down, heat on high, volume on max. Crisp breeze blowing in my face with a beenie on of choice, perferably designed by Dusin Ortiz.

Another Day In Paradise

For all who dont know, the above picture is where I work. A oil refinery in the northwest. Boarding the coast and Canada is where I spend 40+ hours a week. Things are going really well with work, im learning alot and the days are going by fast becuase im so busy.

In News: Just posted at Pavlina Ortiz Photography is new pics of my little nephew Cassius. Hes such a rad dude already and good one at that. Crazy how he changes daily. Looking forward to the winter months to come. The leaves are falling, colors blowing in the streets like a whirl wind. Truley my favorite time of year. I didnt realize how much I missed it when I was in Cardiff, Ca but its one of the pro's from being back forsure.

Boundary Bay & Bistro

It seems like we have been hitting up the local Brewery's lately, sampling all the new harvest ale's that are out! This is definitely on the top of my list. Two harvest ale's deep and a pesto, salmon, feta, jalapeno pizza capped off with Crème brûlée(my favorite desert dish of all time). Man I love good places to dine. This vibe was just what Roz and I needed. Super laid back, on Tue they offer jazz night and once in a blue moon they will have concerts in the back courtyard area. groups like swollen members are known for making a appearance. Good times for sure. This weekend it was nice catching up with old friends, talking with new friends and spending time with family. Relationship's are the craziest thing, you definitely see the benefits and the not so benefits from them. In other words, you get out what you put in.

Chuckanut Brewery

After crawling into bed around 3am from the previous night Roz and I woke up around 8am and went out in service, I ended up quiting around 1130 and stayed and the hall for another hour or so and sorted out the lit. counter, new shipments coming in. Went back to the palace and napped it up for a hour or to and then met up with some friends at the Chuckanut Brewery. I highly suggest there "Dunkel", a nice wheaty dark amber that gives off a stouter taste then it really is, with hints of cherry and chocolate it pares nicely with any appetizer of your choice. Then went over to Beau and Brie's for some more cocktails and Cranium. The battle of the sexes began! I hate to say it but I was scared for a second, but I didn't loose faith. The dudes came out on top...

In other news, picked up 2lbs of Bees Wax from the local market depot that will soon stop due to the weather but I've had some difficulty tracking my items down for my waxing projects. stay tuned...

TEXAS HOLD'EM

Today some family friends came into town for the weekend and we kicked it, caught up and talked about the "good ol' days" Had dinner at Nona Rosa, a very athentic Itialian place were the grandma "Nona Rosa' hence the name, meets and greet you at the door with a loving hug and kisses on both cheeks, pretty sweet vibe. After all the wine and stories we headed over to my buddy Stevens house for a little friendly game of Hold'em. Just to sweeten the deal we tossed in a 20.00 buy in. 4 hours later, 2 or 3 drinks deep I walked away with 180 bones in my pocket. Good ending to a good day.

18 Month Calander

I love getting packages! This just came in this afternoon, a little something to add to my workspace. Definitely if I'm going to be looking at a calender for a year and a half its gonna be this one! My neighbor who Ive been using his wireless connection is moving! So posts for the next little bit might be a little more scattered then I would like but it will be OK.

Went over to my brothers last night (right across the street) and had some pizza and watched Dexter, its this show on showtime that reminds me of Christian Bales American Psycho but its a TV series. Now I'm not really into watching TV, probably cause I don't have it but this is something that I think I might go out and just buy the complete seasons of. Highly recommend it, if you liked American Psycho and didn't take it too seriously. Some people I talk to get the humor in it and other people look at me like I'm Psycho. Its all preference... Ill end with that.

Snow Dreams

I cant sleep, for some reason I've been up the past few nights just like dude, go to sleep! I tried counting sheep, not workin so much, been going to bed at like 2 or 3 and gettin up at 6 for work... Sux, but I'm so excited to get back on my board and just ride again, its all ive been thinkin about latley.

Today was a pretty chill day in all aspects. Work is going really well and its almost the weekend. I got some long time family friends coming in on Friday to kick it for the weekend so it should be good, fun filled weekend for sure.

BETA \ BEAST

I just got off the phone with my real good buddy Tim, and man am I hyped! Their company Beta Unit is getting some good press right now on a website called HYPERBEAST.

Little story behind the site: featured in the last issue of ANTENNA MAG. This guy's nick name was Hyperbeast who has a store and to be honest I cant find the damn issue in my house anywhere. The deal is he was always laughing about people who bought stuff just on HYPE and started this site called HYPERBEAST.COM, to tell people about the Hype on new street wear. Definitely go out and pick up some BETAUNIT'S new fall/winter line with there custom cut and sew. It's not just hype, its the real deal.

Not only was it good to hear about Beta Unit; but also to see all my friends hard work paying off. We all were just snowboard kids with a dream. That's one thing I miss about moving back to Washington, (can't believe its almost been a year, time fly's). Seeing all my friends that had such a impact on my life; and still do, but its well just different ya know. Being around "the gallery" and seeing new designs and the progression of a line being developed.

Sal good though; we got some snowboard trips planned in the near future and some good times ahead so I'm looking forward it. You know I got my Beta Unit gear on order to. Word on the street is its selling out fast. BUY IT www.BETAUNIT.com.

RAEN = SNOW

This weather has been great or horrible depending on what side your looking at. Its dark, gray, and crispy, nippy cold. I got home from work and its already dark at like 5:45-6ish and I walk in to the fire on and Roz looking at weather and dogs. I'm super hyped for this weather! Not only do I work inside where its warm but I know that its snowing at Baker! We are looking at possibly, maybe, in the future getting another dog to keep Sabra company...she needs a boyfriend to kick it with and snuggle up to when the winter months come, err at least that's Roz's excuse. With that we are also lookin at purchasing a typical Bellingham, WA vehicle but there so practical and I'm willing to put a little more into it to make it stand out from the rest. Now if you know me, you know I don't do shiny, so I'm gonna make it match the Truck and murder out that Subaru Impreza 2.5i Wagon, possibly puttin flat gold rims on it like this, we will see... I dunno tell me what you think?

As one of my best buddies says BOO YAH SHACKA! Mos Def this day started out like ish, no sh*t. All high in the cubicle at work from the antibiotics. Rolled home and went straight to the post office box. Not only did I add some more pennies to the bank but I got some packages as well. Swoop the pics for the goods.

Out Of Commission

A Sinus Infection and a Ear Infection that came out of nowhere.
With TWO more days of work, I'm stacked with antibiotics and over
the counter drugs. I think I can convince Roz to dress up in a little
nurse uniform and nurse me back to health. In the mean time,
I want to cut off my F%@#'n ear! It itches like some disease that itches.

Into The Wild

Last night I watched Into The Wild again. I really enjoyed this film even more so the second time. I really think it shows progression and a honest journey. For what he set out to do was only proven wrong before his death. He believed he didn't need people and relationships but only nature to be happy. I, in some deeper sense try to get into a characters head in a movie and try to relate. This movie did touch me and after, I feel like I want to tell everyone that has had a impact on my life thank you. I think the more I get deeper into the winter months there will be alot more "diary/random thoughts/expressions" on this blog. The feeling of grey winters seems to have a impact on me that makes me think a lot about life, relationships, purpose, etc...
